Hey sparkle chicks and funky junkers! I have a few Christmas Holiday Makeover Decor DIY’s that I need to share with ya that I have yet to post final pics on….so I figured might as well sit down and write a blog showing them all to you in one fell swoop! Let’s dive right in!
hobby lobby santa head
Lots of you have been asking if I finished the Santa head from Hobby Lobby (you can find the bust here) https://www.hobbylobby.com/Christmas/Home-Decor-Pillows/Tabletop-Decor/Santa-Bust/p/81077718 and the answer is YES! I finally got around to purchasing a fluffy feather boa from Hobby Lobby and you can find that here! https://www.hobbylobby.com/Wearable-Art/Accessories-Embellishments/Feather-Boas/White-Marabou-Feather-Boa/p/24179. They are out of stock online but I always see a ton of them in the store! Amazon probably will have some too! All I did was hot glue it on to the white trim part of his hat for that full fluffy look! Here is the pic of Mr. Santa all finished and fluffy! Isn’t he so adorable? I just love him!

holiday resin tray
I did this tray makeover on the Paint Pixie page, a wonderful company that has an amazing line of paint, brushes and all things artsy….if you don’t follow them then you definitely want to! Go show them some love over on Facebook here https://www.facebook.com/paintpixiebrushes for some amazing LIVE DIY’s and you can order from their website here – https://paintpixie.com/
At the very last minute I decided to epoxy the center of the tray so I couldn’t give everyone a clear shot of the finished makeover as it had to set for 24 hours! The epoxy is super easy to use and I got it at Hobby Lobby – https://www.hobbylobby.com/Crafts-Hobbies/Stencils-Craft-Paints/Mediums-Finishes/Envirotex-Lite-Pour-On-High-Gloss-Finish/p/1419 I love this epoxy and it’s perfect for beginners and for the advanced epoxy artists! It has no smell which is a huge bonus for me as well!
The image on the front is an IOD transfer but from what I can gather every vendor I know who had one is now sold out! Tis the Season! LOL.

Glam letter DIy
These lightweight paper mache letters from the Hobby Lobby https://www.hobbylobby.com/Crafts-Hobbies/Painting-Surfaces/Paper-Mache/Paper-Mache-Letter-A—16%22/p/149290 make the best Christmas gifts! I opted for the bigger 16″ letters and even with all the bling and embellishments they are free standing and don’t topple over! I covered the front surface with a stencil and using some spackle gave it a nice 3 dimensional look! I then covered it with a coat of my oil rubbed bronze paint and then lightly dry brushed some metallic gold over the front to bring out all the raised detail! I originally was going to add wood u bend mouldings to the front but totally forgot so we went with bling from Totally Dazzled instead! You can find a plethora of bling at TD here https://bit.ly/2V2mOSM I simply used hot glue to attach the bling and voila you have a custom initial to gift away! These even make gorgeous wedding gifts and or wedding decor!
