Hot Glue Candle Pin Mold DIY

DIY

10 Feb

Howdy Sparkle Chicks! Spruce up your candles with decorative candle pins using HOT GLUE and silicone molds! Re-Design with Prima molds are my fave and I order them here at https://www.facebook.com/charlottegrayhomeandgarden She has many to choose from and is pure pleasure to talk to!

Once you get your mold your going to load up your hot glue gun…This is my fave, its high temp and melts glue steadily when doing glue molds! Click here to order glue my glue gun from my Amazon Affiliate right here…https://amzn.to/370gRwa

Start by adding the glue around the outer edges and then filling in the center, making sure to get the glue into all the little nooks and crannies of your mold (see pic below).

Once you have the entire mold filled with glue but before it dries drop your pin into the center of the mold…you can order pins here https://amzn.to/3jCKYyG. When you have your pin in the glue drop a little more glue around the base of the pin and make sure entire flat portion of pin is covered and set in the mold (see pic below).

Once your glue has completely dried simply peel it from the mold and paint it any color you wish! The true detail comes out when painted and highlighted!

No matter what color you choose to paint I always suggest giving it some highlight to bring out all that detail with Rub n’ Buff…My fave go to highlighter in Antique Gold works amazing with any color you choose to paint your candle pin with! You can order Rub n’ Buff by clicking here…https://amzn.to/3jAPOwl

Once your candle pin is painted, highlighted and has dried you can embellish it with crystals, gems or anything else you may fancy! Find a candle and pluck it in….your candle has now gone from drab to FAB!!!

I hope you all have enjoyed this DIY and if you would like to watch the full LIVE video you can click here https://fb.watch/3zJEC3-PDs/ and catch the replay!

I bought candles today to Diamond dust. I was wondering how do u hold the candle to modge podge and Diamond sprinkle? Is there a way to do that§. Appreciate your answer!

Hello! The best way to apply it is to take 1 inch painters tape and apply that to the very top, middle or bottom of your candle…you need some space to hold your candle to rotate it!! Then apply your mod podge and then diamond dust! Peel off your tape before it dries and once the diamond dust and mod podge is all dry you can carefully handle the dusted part to do the 1 inch strip or you can just leave it plain for a dimensional effect! I will do a candle DIY this week for ya also…great idea so thank you for giving it to me! xoxo
